What is laugh therapy?

Laugh Therapy sessions utilise evidence-based techniques, rooted in neuroscientific research, that boost mental health and resilience. Our methodology explores humour, laughter and play in its many familiar forms, and combines discussion, shared experiences, games, simple improvised scenarios, proven research, actionable strategies, practical play-based activities and a broad range of other influences and wellbeing practices. We are acutely aware that people can feel anxious, self-conscious, and may have pre-conceived ideas about what we do. Therefore, all of our services are bespoke and the content is adapted to suit participants’ level of social comfort, all with the same aim in mind. All that is requires is trust and an openminded willingness to participate. Your mind and body won’t regret it, and you’ll feel more socially connected and less anxious and stressed than you did before!

Is it the same as Laughter Yoga?

No. Whilst we greatly respect the practice of Laughter Yogi’s, our methodology explores humour, laughter and play in broader terms. Our aim is to explore all areas of humour, play and laughter, and create environments and activities that feel more familiar and less self-conscious. We believe less self-consciousness and social anxiety leads to greater engagement, better connection with others and more authentic laughter. Scientific research shows that deep, mirthful laughter has a greater impact on mind and body than feigned laughter.

Laugh therapy is beneficial for individuals at all stages of life, from professionals seeking stress relief to families looking to bond through play. Everyone can find joy in the process!

For full details on cancellations, postponements, rescheduling and refunds, please visit our Terms and Policies page.

This depends on the service booked. Motivational talks, one to one coaching, and practical, energiser webinars can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Workshops typically last 1 to 2 hours, providing ample time for engagement and enrichment without feeling overwhelmed. Professional training sessions prove a more in-depth exploration and are half day or full day. As our services are bespoke, you can build your ideal session, focus and combination of activities. Reach out via our Contact page to discuss it with us.

Yes, we offer practical group sessions, interactive presentations, training and workshops – both in-person and online – that foster collaboration and connection among participants, making the experience even more enriching. After all, research shows we are 30 times more likely to laugh when we are with others than if we are alone.
